This portrait window is featured at 'Tio's Lounge' in the La Cantera resort Westin Hotel, located in San Antonio, Texas. The window is 40" x 60" actual size, and forms part of the partition wall between the lobby area of the hotel and the lounge itself. The design was created from a line drawing provided by the architect, enlarged to the appropriate size, and then executed using both deep carving and shade blasting techniques. The interesting rock-like detail around the portrait area and along the border of the window is also carved. |
