Tabletop 
This customer came to us because one edge of her octagonal tabletop had a large chip broken out of it (the damaged area is just visible against the white chair back, at the top left of the first photo below). A freeform pattern resembling the ripples formed by sand on a beach was carved into both the top and bottom edges (see the detail photo), allowing the chip to be camouflaged in a way that would harmonize with the owner's Asian-themed home. As an added benefit, any sharp broken edges were removed to avoid potential danger.
